Cincinnati Zoo
Administration Remodel—Fast paced remodel of 10,000
SF of administrative offices, including the main sales and
marketing conference rooms and the executive offices.
Innova successfully surveyed the building, working from
outdated drawings, and incorporated the existing HVAC
and electrical systems into the new design. This allowed
the Zoo to spend less money on mechanical systems, and
more money on creating custom finishes. This gave the
space a unique character, which the budget may not
have allowed for without the MEP budget savings. Quick
and accurate production of the MEP drawings allowed
the Zoo to get the permit secured and begin working less
than a month after design started.
Simex Theater—Remodel of existing shell space into a 4D
theater. Heavy coordination with Simex, the
manufacturer of the 4D theater equipment wss required.
On-the-fly cost engineering saved the Zoo unnecessary
expenses on the MEP systems.
Envinta Energy Audit—Energy audit for the Zoo's gas and
electric using systems.
Giraffe Building—New overnight accommodations for the
six new giraffes at the Zoo.
Uptown Crossings--New main entrance building for the
Zoo. LEED Gold achieved.
Main Entry--New Ticketing building and Gift Shop, with a
geothermal heating and cooling system. These buildings
are LEED Platinum achieved.
